For Families

Inspire: understanding screens and connection

An inspiration session for parents who want to understand why screen conflicts are rarely about screens. Together we explore what is really going on, and how a different way of looking can bring surprising calm. You'll learn much more than just how to recognise the warning signs of problematic gaming and screen use. During this session we share experiences, and you'll learn how to connect with your child and how to relate to your teen in a digital world.

Does this sound familiar?

Your son games for hours on end.

Your daughter seems glued to her phone.

Every discussion ends in a fight.

You start doubting yourself.

Am I too strict?

Am I too lenient?

Should I switch off the wifi?

Should I ban all screens?

And yet, it feels like the real problem isn't there at all.

You might be right.

What if screen conflicts are actually telling us something else?

Many parents think the problem starts with the screens.

But behind endless scrolling, hours of gaming or the struggle to stop, there is often a story about development, emotions, connection, autonomy or stress.

That doesn't mean screens have no impact.

It does mean that lasting change rarely comes from stricter rules alone.

During this inspiration evening you'll discover how a different way of looking can bring surprising calm — for your child and for yourself.

Not an evening of guilt

But an evening of curiosity.

You don't have to be the perfect parent. You don't need to have all the answers either.

This inspiration session invites you to pause. To look differently. To offer yourself the same kindness you wish for your child.

Throughout the evening we combine scientific insights with relatable examples, reflection and space for exchange.

You'll go home not only with new knowledge, but above all with a different perspective.

My promise

I won't tell you exactly how many hours of screen time are right.

I won't hand you a list of ten tricks that will make your child put down their phone by themselves.

What I will do is invite you to look with different eyes.

Because when parents learn to look differently, something often shifts in how children feel seen. And that is exactly where connection begins.

Because ultimately...

The goal is not less screens. The goal is more life. More connection. More presence. Children probably won't remember later how much screen time they had. But they will remember...

  • whether they were listened to
  • whether they were allowed to make mistakes
  • whether they felt safe
  • whether their parents were available when they needed them

Perhaps that matters more today than ever.

Give yourself three hours in which you don't have to search for the perfect answer. Three hours to slow down. To understand what is really at play behind screen conflicts. To look at your child — and yourself — with more kindness.

Because when parents learn to look differently, space opens up for something new.
