Helping children, teens & families thrive in a digital world

Children are growing up in a world no generation has experienced before. Screens shape how we learn, connect, relax and develop.

While technology offers enormous opportunities, many children, adolescents and families struggle with balance, emotional wellbeing and meaningful connection in an increasingly digital world.

Screens & Self helps families, schools, professionals and organizations navigate these challenges through psychology, education and digital wellbeing.

About me

Hi, I’m Natalie

I'm working as a child and adolescent psychologist with a special interest in digital wellbeing, healthy screen use and family connection.

I believe children, teens and families thrive when they feel connected — to themselves, to others and to the world around them. In today’s digital world, that balance has become more challenging than ever. My work focuses on helping families navigate these challenges with warmth, clarity and evidence-based guidance.

Technology is everywhere. It shapes how we communicate, relax, learn, work and connect. Screens bring many valuable opportunities, and at the same time, many families struggle with the constant presence of phones, social media, gaming and online distraction.

What fascinates me about this topic is that it touches all of us. As a psychologist, I see how deeply the digital world influences emotional wellbeing, attention, sleep, self-image, relationships and family dynamics. But I also recognize it personally. Like many people, I sometimes notice how difficult it can be to disconnect, slow down or stay fully present in a world designed to constantly capture our attention.

At the same time, I don’t believe the answer is fear, guilt or completely avoiding technology. Screens are part of modern life. They can inspire us, connect us and support us in meaningful ways.

That is why my work is not about being “anti-screen”, but about helping families build a healthier and more conscious relationship with technology — one that leaves room for rest, emotional wellbeing and genuine human connection.

Because perhaps in a world that is more digitally connected than ever, real connection becomes even more important.

Through psychological guidance, parent support, workshops and education, I help children, adolescents and families navigate the challenges of growing up in a digital world with more balance, understanding and connection.
